Cumulus clouds are fluffy and resemble cotton balls or cotton candy. These clouds can be found in the low levels of the atmosphere and can be as low as 3,300 feet. If these clouds grow in size they can become cumulonimbus, which is associated with thunderstorms. The higher and wispy looking clouds are cirrus. These are made of ice crystals and can be higher than 30,000 feet.
