There are a mix of cloud types here because of the different layers in the atmosphere. The highest clouds that you see towards the center are altostratus. The next layer is stratocumulus. These are the lowest lying clouds that you see and are the darkest. Nimbostratus is the biggest cloud and these can often times lead to rain, but in this case the sun is shining and the rays are providing vibrant colors being bounced off from the clouds.
