Cirrostratus clouds are located high in the sky and around the sun within this photograph. This cloud is high in the sky and made of ice crystals. Areas where it becomes wispy may be cirrostratus fibratus. They become wispy from strong upper-level winds. The lower and puffier clouds are cumulus.
